My theory is that John created that snowball and then was struck with an existential quandry relative to his creative potential. "What a chimera is man," perhaps he is saying. "What a creative creature is he, how ennobling and cultivating. But what destruction he creates, what chaos, what suffering."

ReplyDeleteI hypothesize that the snowball is representative of a skull and John is practicing for his part in a local Hamlet production. "To be or not to be?"
